Mesquite Girls Take First in Swim Meet

Four local girls teamed up to take First Place in the Girls 8 and Under 100 Yard Freestyle Relay at the regional swim meet held in Mesquite July 21. Tyra Ludvigson, Brooklin Montoya, Emma Hughes & Alley Shaner, all on the Mesquite Manta Rays swim team, came in first with a time of 1:47:55.

That bested teams from the Fredonia Killer Whales, Dart (Dixie Aquatic Race Team) Sharks, and the Hurricane Tiger Sharks.

Around

250 swimmers attended the year-end meet in Mesquite.

The Tri-State Championships will be held in Cedar City, UT, July 28 at the Cedar City Aquatic Center located at 2090 W. Royal Hunte Dr. The Tri-State Swimming League has set up hotel accommodations and discounts are available at Crystal Inn in Cedar City.
