The following incidents were taken, in part, from the Mesquite Police Department blotter during the week of June 3-9, 2012.All persons included in these incidents are presumed innocent until proven guilty by the court.
6/4/12Traffic accident:At 3:07 a.m. officers responded to a one car accident where the driver left the scene.He was located and arrested for D.U.I.
6/5/12Suspicious circumstances:Police responded to the parking lot of a local business on some suspicious people.Following an investigation, four adults were taken into custody on drug related charges.
6/5/12Suicidal person:Officers responded to a residence on a report of a possibly suicidal male.He was taken into protective custody.
6/5/12Domestic dispute:Police responded to a residence regarding a 911 hang-up.A female told them it was regarding a domestic problem.A male had violated a protective order but left the scene before police arrived.
6/6/12Domestic dispute:A married couple was having a verbal argument resulting in the police being called.The male agreed to leave for
the night.
6/7/12Suicide:Officers responded to a report that a male may have committed suicide.Officers made entry into a residence and found the man deceased from a gunshot wound near the head.
6/7/12Search warrant:Police executed a search warrant on Condor Street.
6/7/12Stolen Firearm:Police responded to a residence about a report of a stolen firearm. They took a theft report but the owner reported the firearm was later found in the residence.
6/9/12Suicidal Person:Police responded to a report of an overdose at a residence.A female was transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.
6/9/12Noise Disturbance:At 9:55 p.m., Officers spoke with several concerned citizens who expressed their displeasure about the noise coming from the Casablanca pool party.Officers spoke with the event coordinator and the music was shut off.
6/9/12Noise Disturbance:Officers again responded to a noise complaint regarding the Casablanca pool party.Complainant was informed the music would end at 11:00.
6/10/12Domestic problem:At 5:49 a.m., police responded to a casino regarding a domestic dispute.After an investigation, the male was arrested for domestic battery and trespassing.
