On Wednesday, May 23, Clark Country Republican Party Vice Chairman Woody Stroupe announced to CCRCC members that he will be joining Team Nevada.
To The Clark County Central Committee:
Effectively NOON Friday, May 25, 2012 I am resigning as the Vice Chairman of the Clark County Republican Party. Our Bylaws state “The objective (of the Clark County Republican Party) is to elect Republican candidates to local, county, state and national offices.” I have been the Vice Chairman for 18 months and Acting Chairman for half of that time. During that period I have led efforts to support all party candidates and elected officials and to hold our elected officials accountable. I initiated a regular meeting of Republican
and conservative groups with the goal of unity and cooperation to elect Republicans at all levels of government.
Recently, the turmoil in the Clark County Republican Party has driven a wedge between many Republican organizations and prevented me and the county party from focusing on electing Republicans. Consequently, I am accepting a volunteer position with Team Nevada and will work to elect the Republicans selected in our primary and National Convention. The irresponsible government spending, growth of government control and regulations, and the infringement on our liberties must be stopped. I greatly appreciate all of the support, encouragement, and cooperation I have received for the last year and a half. I encourage all Clark County Republicans to join together “to elect Republican candidates to local, county, state and national offices.”
Let’s work together for victory in 2012.
