New Sunday Evening Discussions Begin at FBC
Posting Date: 05/18/2012

By Pastor Bill Stevenson

First Baptist Church is introducing an innovating and exciting new discussion group every Sunday evening in place of our regular 6:00pm service. The idea is to open up Sunday’s message to full discussion.

Have you every listened to a sermon on Sunday and wanted to ask about something you didn’t quite understand? Or maybe you had a great afterthought after hearing something special and just want to explore the subject further.

Well, here is your chance, because we are introducing an opportunity to sit down with the pastor and other interested people to have a lively open discussion. Think about it; this is your chance to express your views and insights, Each week will be an open forum on the subject of the week's sermon or we can even go back if that where the discussion leads.

This week's discussion will focus on this Sunday’s sermon ‘The Invisible War.’ Although I’m

not going to give you the entire message, I’ll share that it has insights into how we are sometimes our own worst enemy. We'll talk about how we block our success and how to overcome those challenges that we all face in life. Maybe you have a story to share or just want to learn more. This is a great opportunity to do either.

We will meet Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm to about 7:00 pm for these open discussions. Please join us at First Baptist Church for one or more of these meetings.

You’ll find us friendly and inviting and we’re located at 700 Hardy Way, Mesquite. It’s near the new police station so we’ll all be safe.

Our regular Sunday morning worship services are at 8:00AM and 10:45AM. For more information or to request prayer call 346-7061 or visit our website at fbcmesquite.com. I look forward to sharing the truths of God’s Word with you.
