MPD Arrest Arizona Burglary Suspect
Posting Date: 05/08/2012

Jeff Smith, Mesquite Police Dept

The Mesquite Police Department received a call from Mesquite Gaming Security Officials Sunday morning, May 6, that two men had burglarized the Oasis Hotel and fled on foot when they were contacted by security.

Security reported that one suspect ran north towards I-15 while the second ran south and was hiding in a field between Leavitt Lane and Hafen Lane.

Arrested was Joseph Manore, 27, of Meadview, AZ, after he was contacted by police and security officers while hiding amongst the bushes in the field.

Officers were unable to locate the second suspect that fled towards the highway.

Officers were shown a 55 gallon garbage can containing copper piping that the suspects were removing from a kitchen at the hotel when they were contacted by security. Officers also found signs of forced entry to a rear service door of the kitchen area.

Manore was transported to the Mesquite Police Department where he was interviewed by detectives and later charged with Felony Burglary. Manore was then transported to the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.

Anyone with information regarding this case or the second suspect please contact the Mesquite Investigative Services Division (ISD) at 702-346-5262.
