The following incidents were taken, in part, from the Mesquite Police Department blotter during the week of Apr. 22-29, 2012. All persons included in these incidents are presumed innocent until proven guilty by courts in the U.S.
4/22/12 Controlled substance problem: A woman was found sleeping in a dumpster enclosure and inhaling toxic fumes. She was placed under arrest.
4/22/12 Missing Person: A man reported that he had not heard from his adult daughter in over 24 hours. A report was taken.
4/23/12 Theft: Officers responded to a local street corner in reference to the theft of an election sign posted on private property.
4/23/12 Theft from vehicle: A generator was stolen from a recreational vehicle at the local car dealers lot.
4/24/12 Theft: Police received a fax from a female victim who had reported her jewelry stolen a year earlier. She wanted police to know she had located a ring in an out of state pawn shop that she had previously reported stolen.
4/24/12 Property Damage: A property management company requested a report on a damaged tree.
4/24/12 Suspicious person: Officers responded to a retail store on a report of counterfeit money being passed.
4/25/12 Wanted person: A male being released from the Mesquite Detention Center was arrested for a felony warrant out of Kingman, AZ.
4/25/12 Juvenile Problem: Officers responded to a report of an unruly juvenile. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and was issued a citation.
4/25/12 Intoxicated person: Police responded to a man passed out on the trail system. He was taken into custody.
4/25/12 Theft: A political sign was stolen from a local residence. Investigation determined the complainant did not have permission to post the sign on private property and the property owner removed it.
4/26/12 Restraining Order: Officers served a “No Alcohol” order on a local resident. The person signed the order and agreed not to drink alcohol for six months.
4/26/12 Wanted Person: While investigating a theft report, officers came in contact with a male who had a felony warrant. He was arrested.
4/26/12 Theft from vehicle: Officer responded to an apartment complex on a report that several vehicles had been broken into and items stolen.
4/26/12 Dead Body: Officers responded to a hotel on a report of a deceased person. Clark County Coroners Office was notified.
4/27/12 Traffic Violation: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that drove past a school bus when the lights were flashing and children were getting off the bus. A citation was issued.
4/28/12 Theft: A lady lost her wallet in the parking lot of Walmart. Police found the wallet but all of the money was missing.
4/29/12 Suspicious person: Officers responded to a condominium complex regarding a report of someone in a vehicle with a flashlight for over 30 minutes. An adult female was found in the vehicle and was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
4/29/12 Suicidal Person: Officers responded to a residence regarding a man who had cut his wrists. He was transported to the hospital for mental evaluation.
