MPD Arrests Overton Woman for Drugs

Mesquite Police Officers arrested an Overton woman Friday evening after investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Rock Springs I Condominiums. After speaking with a woman found inside the vehicle, officers discovered Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrested was Doreen Robinson, 43, of Overton, Nevada who was in the driver’s seat of a green Ford Contour looking for something with a flashlight when officers arrived to investigate.

Officers were given permission

to search Robinson’s purse which was sitting on the trunk of her car when they found the methamphetamine. Officers then searched Robinson’s vehicle prior to it being impounded, where they found the marijuana and paraphernalia in the trunk.

Robinson was transported to the Mesquite Detention Center where she was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana, With the Intent to Sell), and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Robinson was processed and then later taken to the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas without incident.
