Residents living in Sunset Greens are delighted with the opening of the new Falcon Ridge Parkway extension that opened Thursday, Apr. 26 as part of the I-15, Exit 120 reconstruction project.
"My wife was second one they let drive on it this morning on her way to work," Chuck Cockayne remarked exuberantly. "It cut her commute considerably and she loved it."
The extension
cuts through part of the old Hafen farm and makes for a more direct route to Interstate 15, Mesquite Blvd, and Falcon Ridge Parkway. It removes the need to travel down Leavitt Lane and Pulsipher Lane.
While construction crews are still working in the area, motorists need to exercise extreme caution in the new roundabout areas.
"We're almost done with the whole project," remarked Alan Preston, Project Manager for the General Contractor, W.W. Clyde. "We intend to meet our June target deadline for completion."
