The Champion for the 2011-2012 bowling season is (drum roll please) H & R Block Tax Service. H & R came from quite a ways back during the 2nd half to pass Elks Lodge and win the 2nd half and then Wednesday night jumped all over Mesquite Lock Doc, winner of the 1st half, 16-4 to claim the championship. Wayne Reeter (221, 245, 216, 682); Ronn Karr (201, 200, 198, 589) Gary Higashi (219, 565) led the victors to their big win. 2 other members of the tear are Darwin Wimer and Ric Ashdown. For Mesquite Lock Doc Randee Fry (211, 556) was high.

The big winners of the night went to Mitchell Farmers Insurance as they took 18 points from Debbie’s Cleaning Service. Doug Love (243, 247, 676); Dan Montague (195, 196, 252, 643) Richard Burton (190, 202) and Max Burgess (193) were high for Mitchell’s.

Last years champs, Bank of Nevada, ended up on a high note as they took 16 ½ points from Colonial Management. Bank of Nevada was led by Larry Ford (224, 237, 643); Larry Willis (211, 190, 568) and David Rustenburg (193). Cliff Johnson (201, 576) was high for Colonial Management.

C.I.T.Y. Shoppes took care of Kelly Smith Investments 14-6. Rod Averett (208, 220, 192, 620); Roger Durant (196) and Robert Thornton (195) topped C.I.T.Y. Shoppes while Carl Larsen (209) and Ed Hoepfner (191) had good games for Kelly Smith.

Also winning 14 points was CrossFit 212 as they got by Maves Construction. Bob Monson Sr. (216, 559); Joe Estrella (210, 551) and Gary Moore (190) were high for the winners as Willie Theis (196) led Maves.

Mesquite Chiropractic took a 13-7 match from Mesquite Elks Lodge 2811. Danny Barker (252, 235, 650); T.C. Collier (212, 242, 628) and Ray Schultz ( 199, 222, 601 led the Mesquite Chiropractic team. For Elks 2811, Duane Heinsohn (204,

210, 587) and Jeff Jacobson (214, 199, 584) was high.

Cliff Hennery (212, 232, 627) and Gary Loberg (225) led LandTrends Landscaping to a 12 ½ to 7 ½ win over Breadenstuffers Express. Larry Fuller (205) was high for Breadenstuffers.

Capt. 4 A Day got by Foot and Ankle Institute 12-8 even though Steve Ginther (204, 204, 193, 6010 was high on the pair for Foot and Ankle. Glenn Hood (229) had a great game for Capt. 4 A Day.

Also winning 12 points was Oasis Golf Club as they got by Beaver Dam Station. Dave Alexander(216, 564); Randy Tickner (204); Bob Ault (195) and Mike Carpenter (192) all had good games for Oasis. Brad Souders (204) had a good game for Beaver Dam.

In a high scoring and close match Mesa View Quick Care got by Oasis Chiropractic Center 11-9. Robert Smith Sr. (236, 244, 657); Chuck Young dale (225, 206, 216, 647) and Ronald O’Brien (192) led Mesa View. Cliff Jenkins (220, 212, 617); Dan Hoffman (191, 218, 192, 601) and Gene Peters (200, 192, 207, 599) kept Oasis close.

Mesquite Playoff’s took Falcon Ridge Dental by the same count, 11-9. Chuck Gibson (246, 605); Hector Munoz (218)and Dennis Hartley (196) were high for Playoff’s. For Falcon Ridge Brad McKinley (205, 201, 198, 604) and Jim Bixler (203, 568) bowled well.

Another 11-9 match found Home Plate Diner getting by North View Laundromat. Mickey Groene (194, 227, 578) was high for Home Plate. Rick Parsons (201, 551); Alan Bolla (197) and Don Lauer (196) did well for North View.

Money Winners for the week were Mickey Groene 782 and Chuck Gibson 300.

This Wednesday night will be pay off time and a special 8 team, 1 game elimination tournament to add a little spice to the season. The top 4 teams from each half will be competing.

Teams are H & R Block; Mesquite Chiropractic; Mesquite Lock Doc; Elks Lodge 2811; Oasis Chiropractic Center; Kelly Smith Investments; Mesa View Quick Care and Mesquite Playoff’s.
