The following incidents were taken, in part, from the Mesquite Police Department blotter during the week of Apr. 8-15, 2012. All persons included in these incidents are presumed innocent until proven guilty by courts in the U.S. RP = reporting person.

4/08/12 Welfare Check: Police responded to a local residence on a report that a woman said she wanted to kill herself. The woman told police that her statement was taken out of context and she never intended to do that.

4/08/12 Disorderly Conduct: Police responded to a casino about an intoxicated man who refused to leave and was trying to start a confrontation with security officers. He was taken to jail.

4/10/12 Citizen Assist: An

elderly citizen called police to ask for help to back out of a parking stall at a casino to avoid damage to the other parked vehicles.

4/11/12 Juvenile Problem: Officers responded to a noise complaint at a residence. They found an adult male with two female juveniles and three male juveniles who had been consuming alcohol and were out past curfew. The adult was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

4/12/12 Drug Arrest: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle which resulted in the driver being arrested for trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and having counterfeit money in his vehicle.

4/12/12 Trespass: Officers responded to a casino on a report of a male who was trespassing. The man was located outside, sitting in his car smoking marijuana.
