In one night we have a new league leader and 2 completely different teams that jumped into the hunt for the final 4 teams to make the roll offs on the final night. Mesquite Elks Lodge 2811 took over 1st place with Maves Construction and C.I.T.Y. Shoppes moved into contention after Wednesday nights action. There are 8 teams within 10 points of the final 4th spot. We still have 3 weeks of action left in the 2nd half. Here is how the action ended up:

Top point winner of the night honors went to C.I.T.Y. Shoppes as they jumped all over Mesquite Lock Doc 18-2. Robert Thornton 190, 207, 586; Michael Drieling 224, 218, 585 and Gary Furrer 190, 204, 560 led the winners. Ken Safranek had a 196 game for Lock Doc.

Maves Construction was right behind as they took 17 points from Breadenstuffers Express. Willie Theis 238, 219, 632; Gary Hathaway 220, 202, 598; Mark Brackelsbery 220 and Dave Maves 190 all chipped in for the big win. Rich Heintzelman 215 and Alan Conrady 205 had good games for Breadenstuffer.

Foot and Ankle Institute knocked H & R Block out of 1st place by grabbing 15 points of the 20 available. Steve Ginther 205, 212, 224, 641 and Bruce Messadi 208 led the way for Foot and Ankle. Wayne Reeter 210, 199, 193, 602; Darwin Wimer 193, 209, 570 and Ronn Karr 199, 214, 565 were high for H & R Block.

Mesquite Elks Lodge took advantage of H & R’s loss and jumped into 1st place by taking 15 points from Home Plate Diner.Jeff Jacobson 253, 233, 667 and Duane Heinsohn 193 were high for the Elks team.

Another 15-5 winner was Falcon Ridge Dental as they beat CrossFit 212. Brad McKinlay 213, 195, 578; Jim Bixler 211, 195, 575; Ron Rigatti 199 and Marty Conway 193 all bowled well for Falcon Ridge while Gary Moore 202; Cliff Johnson 195 and Joe Estrella 192 had good games for CrossFit 212.

Mesquite Playoffs took care of Beaver Dam Station 14-6. Moose Munoz 190, 226, 586 was

the high man on lanes 15-16 tonight for Mesquite Playoffs.

Oasis Chiropractic Center behind Dan Hoffman 212, 210, 227, 649; Wayne Adams 201, 190, 561 took 13 points from Capt. 4 A Day. Dave Alexander 220, 561 was high for Capt. 4 A Day.

Also winning 13 points was Debbie’s Cleaning Service as they got by Mesa View Quick Care. John Martin 207 was high for Debbie’s while Ron O’Brien 201, 566; Chuck Youngdale 191, 194, 555 and Robert Smith Sr. 206 did well for Mesa View.

Mesquite Chiropractic kept their firm hold on 3rd place as they took a 12-8 verdict from LandTrends Landscaping. Danny Barker 225, 204, 234, 663; T.C. Collier 204, 222, 222, 648; Ray Schultz 216 and Terry King 195 all got into the action for the winners. Byron Patchin 199, 258, 606 and Cliff Hennebry 207, 193, 584 bowled well for LandTrends.

Oasis Golf Club behind Mike Carpenter 199, 246, 204, 649 grabbed 11 ½ points from Kelly Smith Investments. Bob Morgan 191, 203, 566; Carl Larsen 202, 557 and Walt Kuster 201 topped Kelly Smith as they won 8 ½ points.

Colonial Management took a 11-9 match from Mitchell Farmers Insurance. John Szeluga 199, 209, 579 was high for Colonial. Doug Love 244, 252, 657; Max Burgess 216, 560 and Chad Klein 225 all bowled great as they won 9 points for Mitchell Insurance.

Bank of Nevada and North View Laundromat bowled to a 10-10 tie. David Guckenburg 215, 192, 585 and Larry Willis 209, 552 were high for Bank of Nevada. Alan Bolla shot a 190 game for North View.

Money winners for the week were Jeff Jacobson 775 and Byron Patchin 299.

The final results for the City Tournament held in Las Vegas the past 3 weekends found Oasis Chiropractic Center winning 1st place, Kelly Smith Investments in 2nd and Mesquite Merchants team coming in 4th place for the team portion. Cliff Hennebry won

Singles and all events besides throwing a 300 game. Gene Peters game in 2nd in all events. In doubles T.C. Collier/Terry King took 2nd with Bobby Napper /Cliff Hennebry coming in 4th. In all Mesquite Bowlers did very well as about 12 guys cashed some place.
