The First Baptist Church of Mesquite is continuing to accept sign-ups for its’ “40 Days in the Word” program. This new and exciting six week program that is now being used in over 6,200 churches world wide, and its here in Mesquite.

This Sunday will begin this important event and there is still time to sign up. We are extending an invitation to all the community of Mesquite and surrounding areas to join us. It’s easy, just come to one of our services this Sunday or call the Church office. This series is great for those who might have given up reading the Bible because they couldn’t understand it, or maybe even thought it isn’t relevant anymore.

The program takes place in small group meetings in homes, community centers, and at the church at different times and days. It uses DVDs and materials narrated by Rick Warren, famous author of the best-selling book, “The Purpose Driven Life.” This is an opportunity to meet new friends

and neighbors to fully discuss the materials presented.

We hope all who are even a little bit interested come to one of our Sunday morning services and consider joining one of the small groups on which this program is based. Many who have participated in this program say it’s a life changing event. The program is a weekly study of six principles of the Word of God brought to us by Rick Warren, the Saddleback Team, and participation of many great pastors from across the country. Together we will explore the authenticity, reliability, power, comfort, interpretation, and doing of God’s Word.

Please join us on Feb. 19 to learn more and to delve deeper into the truth God has prepared for us all. This time together is not about a particular religion but about a relationship with Jesus.
