The Octogenarians won the Mesquite Challenge for the second time with a net score of 62.08. Doug Lund "the Great Dane" and Jim "JB " Buttler teamed up and put their combined years (165) to good use at Falcon Ridge Golf Course this past Monday proving that the short game is very important in golf especially since they have no long game these days. Will these winds ever go away. It seems that the start of 2013 has had more windy days on Tuesday and Thursdays than the rest of the week. Last Thursday the winds blew hard for the MMGA and it was back again today at Falcon Ridge. Three players seemed to have gotten used to it or have always been good wind players as they won low gross and first and second low net. [Read more]

Another unusual Mesquite spring day with rain showers, wind and low temps in the 60’s. But 16 “brave” MMGA players teed it up at Falcon Ridge on Tuesday. It turned out to be a very good day for Bill Irace, Manny Lira and John Neidermaier for different reasons. [Read more]
