In three weeks we’re going to celebrate Easter and the fact that Jesus went to the cross, gave his life to pay the price for our sins to give us freedom from our sins. That’s an incredible moment in human history. It is freedom that lasts forever. It’s personal freedom. It’s the kind of freedom the Bible talks about in Ephesians 1:7 “Through his blood we gain our freedom, the forgiveness of our sins.”

“Come Unto Christ” is the 2014 theme for the youth (ages 12-18) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Approximately 300 youth and adults from the church gathered on an evening in February to talk Standards. The youth were divided into three groups and met in three different buildings located in Bunkerville and Mesquite. [Read more]
The public is invited to the presentation “A Musical Celebration of the Living Christ” at 7 pm, April 13, at the Mesquite Nevada Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 100 North Arrowhead in Mesquite.
This program will feature singers, instrumental music, and inspirational talks celebrating the season of Easter. The presenters have been drawn from Latter-Day Saint congregations throughout the valley who wish to share this glorious season with everyone.
